FAQ

What's the difference between headband, neckband, and cap-mounted versions of the same model?

Same ear cup shell and acoustic rating in most cases, different way of wearing it. Headband sits over the head, neckband sits behind the neck (useful with certain hard hats or when a worker needs to remove/reinsert frequently), cap-mounted clips directly onto a hard hat's slots. We list the SNR/NRR for each mount variant separately on the model page since attenuation can shift slightly with mount type.

Can I get a cap-mounted version to fit our specific hard hat brand?

Most cap-mounted earmuffs use a universal slot-mount bracket that fits standard safety helmet slots, but confirm your helmet model at quote stage — some models offer a 25mm/30mm adaptor plug option for helmets with non-standard slot sizing.

Why are there so many similar-looking model numbers?

Each base shell (e.g. EM-5007) is sold in several mount/color variants with their own suffix (EM-5007A, EM-5007D, etc.). We group these on one page per shell family since the ear cup and core acoustic design are the same — the model page lists the SNR/NRR for each variant.
